This Privacy Policy explains how ThinApps handles privacy across our mobile applications, including Bright Flashlight, Recover Deleted Photos, and Freebase.

Each ThinApps app is built for a specific purpose, so data practices may differ by app. Please review the section for the app you use.


Bright Flashlight

Privacy Summary

Bright Flashlight is designed for absolute user privacy. It does not collect, transmit, store, or share personal data, usage data, camera information, photos, videos, or device identifiers.

Data Collection

  • No personal data: Bright Flashlight does not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, IP address, location, contacts, photos, videos, or other personal information.
  • No usage tracking: Bright Flashlight does not collect analytics, usage history, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or behavioral data.
  • No camera data: Bright Flashlight uses camera hardware access only to control the LED flashlight. It does not capture, process, store, or transmit images or video.

Network Activity

Bright Flashlight operates entirely offline.

  • It does not connect to the internet.
  • It does not use cloud services.
  • It does not include advertisements.
  • It does not include analytics trackers.
  • It does not make background network connections.

Permissions

Bright Flashlight requires limited device permissions to enable its lighting features.

  • Camera Permission (CAMERA): Required only to control the device LED flashlight, also known as the torch. Bright Flashlight does not record, capture, process, store, or transmit any photo or video data.
  • Wake Lock Permission: May be used to keep the flashlight active while the app is in use.
  • Vibration Permission: May be used to provide vibration feedback during timer or strobe features.

Data Sharing

Bright Flashlight does not share user data because it does not collect user data.


Recover Deleted Photos

Privacy Summary

Recover Deleted Photos is designed for absolute user privacy. It does not collect, transmit, store, or share personal data, usage data, file information, photos, videos, or device identifiers.

Data Collection

  • No personal data: Recover Deleted Photos does not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, IP address, location, contacts, photos, videos, or other personal information.
  • No usage tracking: Recover Deleted Photos does not collect analytics, usage history, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or behavioral data.
  • No file information collected: Recover Deleted Photos does not collect, store, transmit, share, or disclose information about your files, media, folders, scans, or recovery results.

Network Activity

Recover Deleted Photos operates entirely offline.

  • It does not connect to the internet.
  • It does not use cloud services.
  • It does not include advertisements.
  • It does not include analytics trackers.
  • It does not make background network connections.

Local Processing

All media scanning, file analysis, and file recovery features are performed locally on your device.

  • Your files never leave your device.
  • No internet connection is required for the app to function.
  • Recovered files are saved only to your local device storage.
  • ThinApps cannot view, access, copy, store, or recover your files remotely.

Permissions

Recover Deleted Photos requires access to your device’s media storage solely to perform its core function: scanning for and recovering deleted files.

  • Media Access Permissions, such as READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: Required to search for image files on your device storage. Files are accessed only locally during scans and are only moved or written back to local storage during recovery. Recover Deleted Photos does not transmit, share, or disclose any information about your media to ThinApps or any third party.

Data Sharing

Recover Deleted Photos does not share user data because it does not collect user data.


Freebase

Privacy Summary

Freebase is a place discovery app for exploring countries, regions, cities, and related place information. Freebase may include optional account features, such as email-based login and synced app data.

Data We May Collect

Freebase may collect or store limited data when needed to provide app functionality.

  • Account information: If you choose to log in, Freebase may store the email address used for your account.
  • Synced app data: If account sync features are enabled, Freebase may store account-linked app data such as synced favorites, saved places, or app preferences.
  • Local app data: Freebase may store data locally on your device to support app functionality, such as cached place data, local favorites, or app settings.

Data We Do Not Sell

ThinApps does not sell personal data from Freebase.

Local Device Data

Some Freebase data may exist only on your device. Local device data can usually be removed by deleting Freebase or clearing the app’s storage from your device settings.

Account and Data Deletion

Freebase users may request deletion of their account and associated account data.

For security reasons, deletion requests should be sent from the same email address used to log in to your Freebase account. This helps us confirm that the request is coming from the account owner.

When a deletion request is processed, we will delete account data associated with your Freebase login, including:

  • your Freebase account
  • synced favorites, if enabled
  • saved places, if enabled
  • account-linked app preferences, if any
  • other data directly associated with your Freebase account

Data That May Remain

Some data may remain if it is not connected to your account, such as anonymous app analytics, crash logs, or data stored only on your device.

We may also retain limited records if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or abuse prevention purposes.


Open Source Transparency

ThinApps apps may be open source when stated in the app listing, project page, or source repository. When an app is open source, the source code may be publicly available for inspection.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

ThinApps may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be posted on this page.
