Account Deletion

Freebase provides optional account creation and sign-in for synchronizing Favorites across devices. Signed-in users can permanently delete their Freebase cloud account and synchronized cloud data from Settings.

How to delete: When signed in, open Settings, find Delete Account, tap Delete account, type DELETE in the confirmation dialog, then tap Permanently delete account. The confirmation explains that cloud deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you cannot access Freebase, request deletion by emailing support@thinapps.top from the email address used for your Freebase account. Using the account email helps verify ownership; if needed, ThinApps may request additional verification before deleting the account. Verified email requests are normally completed within 30 days.

Data deleted: Cloud account deletion removes the Supabase authentication account and synchronized Freebase cloud account data, including synchronized favorite place IDs.

Local data: Favorites and other app data stored locally on the device are not deleted by cloud account deletion. Local Favorites remain available in signed-out mode. To remove local Freebase data, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app.

Processing and retention: In-app deletion is processed when the authenticated deletion request succeeds. Email requests are processed after account ownership is verified. Cloud account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Freebase does not intentionally retain deleted cloud account data after deletion, except where limited information must be retained for legal, security, fraud, or abuse-prevention purposes. Photo metadata, cached images, Favorites, recently viewed places, and other local app data may remain on the device until Freebase or Android removes them, app storage is cleared, or Freebase is uninstalled.

Privacy Policy

Effective September 16, 2026.

This Privacy Policy describes how Freebase handles information in the Android app.

Freebase is designed to work primarily with bundled place data and information stored locally on your device. Optional account creation, sign-in, favorite synchronization, and in-app cloud account deletion are available. Public ratings and reviews remain unavailable in the app.

What Freebase Stores

Freebase stores limited app data in Android app-private storage so its core features continue to work without an account.

This may include:

• favorite places
• recently viewed places
• photo metadata and cached images used to improve loading performance

When you are signed in, favorite place IDs may also be synchronized with your Freebase account through Supabase. Recently viewed places are not included in account synchronization.

Most place, attribute, relationship, and weather-pattern data is bundled directly with the app. Browsing this bundled data does not require sending your browsing history to a Freebase server.

Network and Third-Party Services

Freebase requests only the Android INTERNET permission. It does not request precise or approximate device-location permission.

Network access is used for maps, place photos, public photo metadata, and optional Supabase account authentication, favorite synchronization, and account deletion.

Google Maps

Freebase uses the Google Maps SDK for Android to display maps. Map requests can involve the coordinates of the place being viewed.

Google may receive technical information needed to provide the Maps service, including request and device metadata, IP address, a Maps SDK-specific pseudonymous identifier, crash information, and map interaction events such as panning or zooming.

Freebase does not use Android device-location permission to determine your location.

Unsplash

Freebase may display place photos hosted by Unsplash when matching photo metadata is available in the public photo dataset.

The Android app does not perform live Unsplash API searches and does not include an Unsplash API key. When an Unsplash-hosted photo is displayed, Unsplash and its delivery infrastructure may receive normal technical request information such as IP address and connection metadata.

Public Photo Assets

Freebase may retrieve public photo metadata, manifests, and version files through GitHub-hosted infrastructure. The requested file or path may identify the place being viewed.

These requests do not send your favorites or recently viewed history to GitHub.

Accounts, Ads, and Analytics

Freebase provides optional email-and-password account creation and sign-in through Supabase. Supabase may process the account email, authentication information, technical request information, and favorite place IDs needed to provide account authentication and favorite synchronization.

A signed-in user can delete the cloud account from Freebase. This removes the Supabase authentication account and synchronized cloud account data. Favorites and other app data stored locally on the device are not deleted by this action.

Public place ratings and place-review submission remain unavailable in the app.

Freebase does not include advertising SDKs, advertising trackers, or a general-purpose analytics service, and Freebase does not sell personal information.

Retention and Deletion

Favorites and recently viewed places remain in local app storage until they are removed or replaced, the app's storage is cleared, or Freebase is uninstalled.

For a signed-in account, synchronized favorite place IDs and account authentication data may also remain in Supabase. Removing a favorite while signed in removes that favorite from the synchronized account state when the sync request succeeds.

Freebase provides an in-app Delete account action. Deleting the account removes the Supabase authentication account and synchronized cloud account data. Local Favorites and other local app data remain on this device and continue to be available in signed-out mode.

Photo metadata and cached images may remain until Freebase or Android clears them, app storage is cleared, or Freebase is uninstalled.

Android application backup is disabled.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Freebase adds, removes, or changes features, services, or data-handling behavior.
